Regional Commercial Lead - Water at Stantec

We currently have an exciting opening for a Regional Commercial Lead – Major Projects to join our UK Water Business. This role can be based in any of our UK offices.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure a healthy, profitable and sustainable Major Projects business, while managing risk and growth.
  • Oversee the commercial elements of bids and significant standalone Major Projects, developing competitive commercial proposals with partner organisations and meeting business objectives.
  • Work with Regional Directors, Major Projects Market Area Lead, other Regional Commercial Leads and the Senior Leadership Team to develop, implement and improve strong commercial strategies for sustainable business growth.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Client and Partner Commercial Leads, reviewing performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing escalation for Major Project issues.
  • Demonstrate visible, engaged Health & Safety leadership, focusing on performance and participation in leading indicator activity to protect wellbeing of employees, clients, partners and the public.
  • Provide commercial leadership to the leadership group, inspiring and motivating the team to deliver best practice in commercial & risk performance management, challenging conventional thinking and creating a collaborative culture.
Qualifications
  • Relevant degree and experience as a Commercial Lead.
  • Experience in a consultancy environment with Design & Build experience in the regulated water sector (highly regarded). Proven experience in NEC4 contract management and alliance delivery models.
  • Strong commercial acumen, business analysis skills and ability to interpret complex financial systems and reports.
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, high degree of self‑management, initiative, reliability and flexibility.
