Alderbrook Care Home, based in Leeds, specialises in complex physical and mental health needs for 140 residents. We are creating a supportive, specialist environment where residents feel valued, respected and truly at home.

• £15.50 per hour, full-time
• Pension scheme, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the upkeep of our care home, ensuring all facilities, equipment, and safety systems are functioning correctly. You will carry out repairs, inspect electrical systems, manage installations and upgrades, and maintain outdoor areas. You will perform routine checks on safety systems, address building damages, and support projects and renovations that improve the home.

Occasional evening, weekend, and on‑call duties may be required. Every task you undertake will directly contribute to a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

• Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role
• Ability to carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks including repairs, installations, and inspections
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and commitment to following procedures
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Flexibility and willingness to respond to emergencies as required
• Positive, professional attitude and ability to collaborate with the team
