As our Maintenance Technician, you’ll enjoy a varied and challenging role. You’ll be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our new home, ensuring it’s always in excellent condition.

Birch View is part of Exemplar Health Care, one of the country’s leading nursing care providers. When open, Birch View will provide nursing care for adults living with complex needs arising from brain injuries, dementia, mental health conditions, neuro-disabilities, and physical disabilities.

Our Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring that the fabrics, fittings, fixtures and equipment in the home are in good condition. No two days will ever be the same, but your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

• General maintenance
• Decorating
• Gardening
• Plumbing
• Tiling
• Carrying out regular risk assessments, audits and checks

If you haven’t worked in the care sector before, we’ll help you feel right at home from the start with our induction, buddy and ongoing training programmes.

• Able to demonstrate a broad range of maintenance skills
• Knowledgeable about, and experienced in, health and safety legislation and regulations
• A great communicator, both verbally and in writing
• Someone with digital skills and an understanding of how IT works
• A team player
• Kind, caring and understanding

To apply for this role, it may be helpful if you have, or are willing to work towards, a 17th‑edition Electrical Certificate.
