Retail Cleaner

Overview

At Arcus, cleaners are a vital part of our company. We are recruiting a part‑time In‑Store Cleaner for Sainsbury’s Moortown store on a fixed‑term basis until February 2026. The role is 18 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.21.

Arcus cleaners keep Sainsbury’s supermarkets clean and safe for customers. Cleaners will complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standard of cleaning within our stores. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Operating machinery
• Conducting thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping to keep stores clean
• Cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, and ovens or oven canopies in‑store
• Cleansing trolley bays outside by removing leaves and debris
• Applying all health and safety procedures

The current shift pattern for this role is:

• Sunday:
  Day off
• Monday:
  Day off
• Tuesday: 05:00 to 09:00
• Wednesday: 05:00 to 08:30
• Thursday: 05:00 to 08:30
• Friday: 05:00 to 08:30
• Saturday: 05:00 to 08:30

Opportunity to increase hours through overtime is available.

Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential; on‑the‑job training will be supplied. An eye for detail, a positive attitude to cleaning and customer service are required.
