Conveyancing Assistant – Leeds

I'm working with a specialist residential conveyancing firm that has built a strong reputation for delivering a modern, efficient and highly transparent conveyancing service to clients across England and Wales. Founded by highly experienced conveyancing professionals, the firm combines deep technical expertise with streamlined processes and smart use of technology to improve both the client and employee experience.

The role

The firm is now looking to recruit a Conveyancing Fee Earner Assistant to support a busy residential conveyancing team. This is a key role within the business, providing hands-on administrative and operational support to ensure transactions progress smoothly, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will work closely with an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner and be involved in all stages of the conveyancing process.

Key responsibilities
  • Assisting the Conveyancing Fee Earner with a caseload of residential property transactions
  • Preparing and drafting legal documentation including contracts, transfer deeds and completion statements
  • Carrying out initial due diligence on titles, searches and contract documentation
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, lenders and other third parties
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date files in line with regulatory requirements
  • Coordinating property searches and related documentation
  • Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications
  • Monitoring key deadlines including exchange and completion dates
  • Responding to client queries and providing progress updates
  • Supporting workflow management, diary organisation and appointment scheduling
  • Updating partner and client portals
  • Keeping up to date with changes in property law and conveyancing best practice
  • Contributing positively to a collaborative and supportive team environment
About you

This role would suit someone with prior experience in residential conveyancing who is looking to build on their skills within a specialist environment. You will ideally be:

  • Confident managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • A strong communicator with a professional, client-focused approach
  • Comfortable liaising with a wide range of stakeholders
