A well‑established national law firm is looking to appoint an experienced conveyancing professional to join its expanding real estate team. The firm has a long history, multiple UK offices, and a strong reputation for high‑quality work across the property sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, supportive team working on a wide range of development‑focused matters.
The RoleWorking closely with senior lawyers, you will manage your own caseload while supporting larger transactions. The work is varied and will include:
- Handling sales and purchases of land, including social housing assets
- Managing and transferring open spaces
- Assisting with wider real estate projects, such as large‑scale stock transfers
- Preparing and drafting documents including transfers, deeds, certificates and ancillary paperwork
- Producing reports on title and reviewing due diligence
- Managing pre‑ and post‑completion steps, including Land Registry applications and requisitions
- Liaising directly with clients and external stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
- This role offers exposure to substantial development projects and the chance to work with a diverse client base, including housing providers, developers, and institutional investors.
We are looking for someone who can work independently, stay organised under pressure, and deliver work to a high standard. You will ideally bring:
- A minimum 2:2 degree in Law (or equivalent route)
- Qualification as a Conveyancer, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEx Lawyer with conveyancing practice rights
- Strong experience in property transactions and the conveyancing process
- Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities
- Confident communication skills and a client‑focused approach
- Ability to manage competing deadlines with minimal supervision
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
- Experience in a similar real estate or development‑focused role
- Familiarity with document management systems
- Experience using time‑recording software
