The successful candidate will manage a caseload of non-litigated personal injury claims valued up to £100,000, progressing each case efficiently from initial instruction through to settlement. The role requires sound legal judgement, a strong understanding of procedural rules and a commitment to achieving timely and cost-effective outcomes for clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of non-litigated personal injury claims valued up to £100,000 efficiently and profitably
  • Meet performance targets relating to settlements and fee recovery
  • Deliver outstanding client care and achieve excellent client satisfaction ratings
  • Handle Fixed Fee and Portal RTA claims, including untraced and uninsured MIB matters, maximising damages by pursuing all appropriate heads of loss
  • Obtain and review medical and non‑medical evidence in line with track requirements and recoverability
  • Use the PI Calculator and other tools to support case progression
  • Advise clients on risk areas, including fundamental dishonesty and ensure evidence is properly cross‑referenced for accuracy
  • Liaise with clients, insurers, litigation friends, attorneys or Deputies to obtain timely instructions
  • Comply with professional conduct rules, internal policies and procedures
  • Keep clients regularly informed throughout the claims process, using both technology and personal engagement
  • Build positive working relationships with defendant Solicitors and Insurers to promote effective collaboration
  • Verify the authenticity and validity of claims and continually assess prospects of success
  • Manage costs effectively to minimise write‑offs and ensure profitability
  • Instruct only approved experts and counsel and obtain all relevant documentation to advance claims
  • Negotiate liability and quantum offers efficiently, prioritising telephone discussions where appropriate
  • Organise and prioritise daily tasks, post and emails to ensure timely handling of all matters
Experience and Knowledge:
  • Proven experience managing your own claimant caseload of non‑litigated personal injury claims, ideally within RTA Portals and the former Multi Track (now Intermediate Track)
  • Experience handling EL, PL or OL cases would be an advantage
  • Track record of meeting fee or settlement targets
  • Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant case law, with the ability to progress claims efficiently in line with procedural requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice
  • Strong client care and relationship‑building skills
  • Ability to liaise effectively with third parties, including insurers, experts and counsel
  • Proficient in case management systems (such as VF) and Microsoft Office
  • Highly organised, with good time‑management skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues
  • A willingness to support and mentor colleagues where needed

This firm promotes an inclusive and supportive working environment where diversity is valued and equal opportunities are at the heart of its culture.

Benefits include:
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
  • Hybrid working options
  • Holiday buy and sell scheme
  • Two volunteering days per year
  • Matched charity fundraising up to £250
  • Medicash cash plan – reclaim dental, physio and optical costs
  • Access to digital physiotherapy, wellbeing tools and health screenings via the Medicash app
  • Discounts and cashback on travel and shopping
  • Life assurance (4x salary)
  • Pension scheme
