An exciting opportunity has become available for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Associate (approximately 1-5 years PQE, though candidates at all levels are encouraged to apply) to join a nationally recognised and expanding healthcare litigation practice. The Team:The team is ranked in both Legal 500 and Chambers and works with NHS organisations, insurers and private healthcare providers on high-profile and complex clinical negligence matters. As a panel firm for NHS Resolution, it is frequently instructed in high-value, sensitive and precedent-setting cases.
Role Overview :You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of clinical negligence and medical malpractice matters, both pre-litigated and litigated, under appropriate supervision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising NHS bodies, insurers and private healthcare clients
- Drafting legal documentation and conducting in-depth legal research
- Delivering clear, commercially sound legal advice
- Engaging directly with clients, counsel and expert witnesses
- Contributing to business development and team-wide initiatives
- Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues, as appropriate
You will bring:
- 1-5 years' post-qualified experience in clinical negligence or defendant medical malpractice
- Prior experience advising NHS or insurer clients (beneficial but not essential)
- Strong drafting, analytical and case management skills
- A commercial mindset and practical approach to litigation strategy
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- A collaborative and proactive team approach
- A desire to deepen expertise in healthcare law
