Whether it be with the UK Exec’ Leadership Team, Key Brokers & Affinity Partners, or the insured themselves, this newly-created role is a highly-visible one, and your successes will be clear to all. As such, it offers an elevated profile and a far wider range of opportunities for progression in comparison to similarly-titled Claims Account Manager roles.

To say this insurer is thriving is something of an understatement, with over 60 offices in more than 20 countries, it is enjoying a sustained period of growth (in excess of 20%) and is on track to achieve its publicly stated ambition to double in size within 5 years. Cash rich and boasting significant profits, it continues to reinvest in its future, both in terms of processes and infrastructure.

Similarly, it has invested heavily in hiring some of the brightest minds within the market and, as home to some of the world’s most gifted insurance professionals, is seen very much as an aspirational place to work and partner of choice to many of the world’s best broking houses.

Specifically, the Claims Function has a forged a superb reputation for its high standards, flexibility, proactivity and integrity. It is recognised as an integral part of the insurer’s wider client service offering, and perhaps one the biggest reasons behind the company’s phenomenal growth trajectory in recent years.

Acting as a key advocate for the UK Claims Function (with both internal and external stakeholders), you will be responsible for enhancing and developing relationships with customers, brokers, and partners.

Setting this insurer apart from the competition in a crowded market, you will support the Claims Function’s ambition to be recognised as the most client-focused, nimble and value-adding in the country.

You will promote the function’s proposition, processes and performance, ensuring they are valued and understood, both internal and externally.

As this is a new role, the finer points can be tweaked to suit your skills, experiences and ambitions, but your responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Claims Account Management Team Leadership:
Establishing and leading a top-tier Claims Account Management service for the UK claims function.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management:
Building, enhancing, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, brokers, and partners. Acting as a trusted point of contact and advocate for claims, externally and internally.
  • Market Facing Proposition:
Proactively engaging with customers, brokers, and strategic partners to support the development of the market-facing claims proposition across all product classes.
  • Claims Advocacy:
Representing the claims function across the business, and externally, to promote its value and impact. Championing the role of claims in delivering customer satisfaction and business success.
  • Point of Contact:
Working closely with Distribution Teams and Senior Underwriters, serving as the Claims Team point of contact for large and key client initiatives.
  • Monitoring ongoing claims and coordinating reviews:
Tracking claims metrics and service levels, often through regular reports or dashboards, to identify developing issues and ensuring high levels of engagement throughout the claim lifecycle. A major part of this role will be organising and leading claims review meetings with the client and brokers, working alongside large client Underwriters and the Business Development Team.

It is essential that you have previously worked in an Account Management or Business Development Manager role within a claims environment, and that you have strong commercial awareness and knowledge of the UK claims landscape. Whilst we are flexible, ideally you will come from an insurer background. This should include knowledge of claims processes, performance metrics and service delivery. You’ll be skilled in stakeholder engagement and advocacy (both internally and externally) and have a strong track record of building and nurturing relationships with customers, brokers, and partners.

You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, and you’ll be an effective team player, demonstrating a positive ‘can do’ attitude and co-operative interaction with team members.

In return, you will receive an impressive basic salary, flexible benefits, generous pension arrangement and a 20% bonus.
