UK Claims Operations Manager – Leading Insurance Group
Location: Leeds or Manchester (hybrid)
Salary: Up to ~£80,000 + bonus + benefits
A market-leading insurance business is seeking a UK Claims Operations Manager to play a key role in shaping and elevating its claims function. Reporting to the senior leadership team, this is a pivotal role driving operational excellence, MI/reporting, delegated authority oversight and continuous improvement across the UK claims organisation.
You’ll lead a multi-disciplinary central claims operations team and be a critical partner across the business, ensuring outstanding customer experience, service delivery and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a centralized claims operations team
- Oversee claims administration, workflow management and SLA adherence
- Drive operational performance, governance, process improvement and resource planning
- Lead MI & data reporting across claims (weekly/monthly dashboards, KPIs, DA performance)
- Own delegated authority oversight, ensuring control, compliance and quality
- Enhance customer experience through continuous improvement and audit programmes
- Partner with senior leadership and support firm-wide initiatives and regulatory programmes
- Strong experience in claims operations within insurance
- Proven people leadership capability
- Track record driving operational change and process improvement
- MI/data reporting capability and comfort working with metrics
- Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder skills
- A genuine passion for improving service delivery and claims outcomes
