At Velstar, delivery is at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for a Delivery Manager to take ownership of continuous eCommerce delivery across a portfolio of clients, bringing structure, clarity and predictability to fast-moving development work.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and enjoys running a tight delivery operation. You’ll lead a cross-functional squad delivering ongoing development and improvements, ensuring work is well-planned, clearly scoped and delivered on time and within budget.
The roleAs Delivery Manager, you’ll act as the operational lead for your squad, coordinating developers, QAs, designers and subject matter experts to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes. While this isn’t a line management role, you’ll be accountable for squad coordination, delivery standards and performance.
You’ll manage structured backlogs and release cycles across multiple clients, ensuring work flows efficiently and clients have clear visibility of progress, priorities and outcomes.
What you’ll be doing- Managing a portfolio of eCommerce clients focused on continuous development and improvement
- Shaping and maintaining clear, structured client backlogs using Jira
- Leading release planning and delivery cycles aligned to squad capacity
- Ensuring tickets are well-defined and meet agreed standards before development begins
- Working closely with developers and QAs to improve estimation accuracy over time
You’re an organized, technically literate delivery professional who takes ownership of outcomes and communicates clearly with both clients and internal teams.
You’ll likely have:
- 3–5+ years’ experience in a Delivery Manager, Project Manager or similar role
- Experience managing ongoing website or eCommerce development retainers
- Experience running release-based delivery across multiple clients
- Strong experience using Jira or similar tools to manage backlogs and workflows
- Experience monitoring utilisation and time tracking
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple work streams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong technical literacy and understanding of development workflows and eCommerce platforms
- Agency experience
- Shopify experience
- Experience delivering complex eCommerce or B2B solutions
- Experience improving utilisation or delivery quality within a squad
