We are on the lookout for a Senior Client Strategist to join our Strategy team in either our Leeds or Manchester office as we celebrate recent client wins. This is a fantastic opportunity with scope for progression and the chance to mentor junior team members, working with exciting clients across e‑commerce, finance, travel and more.

Responsibilities

This role has the primary objective of shaping and delivering measurable growth for clients. You will set strategic priorities across accounts, determining the right opportunities, channel mix, budgets and initiatives aligned to broader client business objectives and informed via robust research and measurement. Are you interested in delivering impact‑driven strategies for clients across a range of sectors? Then this could be the role for you – this is what we’re looking for:

  • Manage client retainers & commercial agreements (planning docs, retainers etc.).
  • Establish & challenge business priorities, targets, risks & opportunities.
  • Lead structured meetings (e.g. Growth Immersion sessions, stakeholder meetings, QBRs etc.).
  • Review client propositions & business models via desk research & structured questioning.
  • Compile market & competitor mapping reports / analyses (specific to category, niche etc.).
  • Research & build audience profiles & opportunity frameworks using tools such as GWI.
  • Build views of customer journeys & intent mapping, informed by research & business context.
  • Obtain & interrogate available business data to inform risks / opps.
  • Build opportunity prioritisation frameworks (based on risk vs reward, perceived value etc.).
  • Create channel plans with rationale to define areas of focus based on opps & business context.
  • Build media forecasts (all channels) based on available client media spend & agency fees.
  • Establish a KPI framework to define which outcomes & metrics matter.
  • Create cross‑channel briefs based on growth opportunities.
  • Establish appropriate measurement methodologies, in collaboration with other specialists.
  • Interpret & challenge the validity of the KPI framework in execution and refine where needed.
  • Establish clear pathways to validate our approach & substantiate positive business impact.
  • Carry out structured reviews of client sentiment, including one‑to‑one discussions.
  • Maintain oversight of time distribution across channels, alongside outputs, to interpret risks.
  • Highlight risks to senior team members when appropriate.
  • Proactively monitor industry changes & competitor activity pertinent to your clients.
  • Regularly assess the current strategic approach for validity, based on evolving business context.
  • Be a thought leader & contribute to materials that elevate knowledge & team marketing.
  • Proactively engage all relevant channel teams, where necessary, in collaborative planning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client & agency dynamics via process improvements.
  • Be a key developer of the c3 offering and seek out opportunities to grow accounts through performance, channel expansion and so on (where relevant).
  • Ensure you complete all time tracking requirements to the deadlines set.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working across multiple sectors.
  • Experience developing and leading full‑funnel digital marketing strategies.
  • Ability to adapt strategies to different audiences, business models, and customer journeys.
  • Advanced understanding of performance marketing, attribution models, and measurement methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and present confidently.
  • Confidence researching & planning – audience profiling, market research, customer journey mapping etc.
  • Commercial mindset, able to identify risks and opportunities when interrogating data.
  • Strong understanding of digital channels, including SEO, Paid Media, PR and CRO.
  • Confident communicator and ability to build relationships.
  • Ideally a working knowledge of research tools such as GWI (or equivalent).
