WRK digital are proudly supporting a leading consultancy on the search for an experienced UX/UI Designer to join a high‑impact public sector project. This is an inside IR35 engagement and would suit a designer who thrives in collaborative, user‑centred delivery environments.
Experience with in healthcare
, public sector
, or GDS-aligned projects is highly desirable—although not essential.
You’ll play a key role in shaping intuitive, accessible and user‑centred digital services. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute across the full design lifecycle—from user research and low‑fidelity concepts to polished UI design and iterative improvements based on real user insight.
This is an excellent opportunity for a UX/UI specialist who enjoys balancing research‑driven decisions with clean, purposeful interface design.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct user research, interviews and usability testing to uncover user needs and behaviours.
- Create user journeys, flows, wireframes, prototypes and high‑fidelity UI designs.
- Develop intuitive, visually engaging interfaces aligned with existing brand guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers and wider stakeholders throughout the design process.
- Iterate on designs using feedback, usability findings and data insights.
- Ensure your work meets accessibility, usability and inclusive design standards.
- Contribute to and maintain shared design systems and style guides.
- Stay current with UX/UI trends, tools and best practices.
- Demonstrable experience as a UX/UI Designer for web and/or mobile applications.
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (Figma).
- Strong understanding of user‑centred design principles.
- Ability to clearly communicate design decisions to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Awareness of front‑end concepts such as HTML, CSS and responsive design.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working within public sector, healthcare, or GDS‑guided environments is beneficial but not essential.
