Softcat's internal Technology Team is undergoing an exciting transformation this evolution aims to provide greater opportunities for our people's professional development and prepare us to execute our more ambitious technology strategy effectively.

The Technology Adoption Lead is responsible for driving the successful adoption and effective use of IT systems across Softcat. This role ensures that employees have the knowledge, confidence, and support required to fully utilise enterprise technology, directly enabling productivity, engagement, and business performance.

Your Role

As Technology Adoption Lead, you will define and lead Softcat's enterprise-wide technology adoption strategy, ensuring new and existing systems are embedded in a way that meets real user needs and supports Softcat's ambition to “weave technology into everything we do.”

You will work closely with IT delivery teams, Business Tech Champions, Learning & Development, Communications, and business stakeholders to design and execute adoption approaches that improve user experience, increase engagement, and enable colleagues to spend more time on work they are passionate about.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead Softcat's IT technology adoption strategy, aligned to the wider technology vision and business objectives
  • Partner with Learning & Development and Communications to embed technology adoption into learning strategies and internal communications
  • Analyse adoption metrics and usage data using technology adoption platforms to monitor health, engagement, and impact
  • Partner with Business Tech Champions to drive system adoption, celebrate success stories, empower champions, and build Technology's brand across the organisation
We'd love you to have
  • Proven experience leading technology adoption, change, or enablement initiatives in a complex organisation
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across IT, business teams, and enabling functions
  • Experience designing and delivering adoption strategies that go beyond training to drive sustained behavioural change
  • Data‑led mindset, with experience using insight and metrics to shape decisions and demonstrate value
  • Confident communicator with the ability to translate technical change into meaningful, human‑centred outcomes
