The’o Senior Solution Architect orchestrates complex solution architectures with broad architectural significance for key outcomes or epics, defining the architectures and designs that deliver our key outcomes while aligning with our technology strategy. They enable teams to deliver at pace by shaping the solution architecture forward‑look for a lab or platform, and partner with Product Owners, engineering teams and Enterprise architects.

LOCATIONS: Leeds or Edinburgh

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40 % (or two days) at either the Leeds or Edinburgh office

An excellent opportunity to join our innovative Stockbroking lab within the Insurance, Pensions and Investments division. In this role you will shape the future of online trading by designing and implementing a streamlined, customer‑and‑colleague‑focused platform that redefines how our customers invest. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver cutting‑edge solutions that enhance our digital presence and improve customer engagement.

• Lead the design and development of scalable, robust, and secure architecture solutions for the new digital stockbroking platform.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Platform Leads, Enterprise Architects and Engineers to create and maintain the architectural runway for our platform teams.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture and service providers to elaborate on solutions, validate technology assumptions and evaluate implementation alternatives.
• Ensure alignment of architectural aktivnosti with business goals and technology strategy.
• Conduct architectural reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.

• Designing and implementing complex, large‑scale architecture solutions.
• Common enterprise integration patterns.
• Working with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Microservices, event‑based architecture and API design.
• Agile methodologies and Dev Ops practices.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
• Working in a regulated environment and designing to meet compliance requirements.

• Domain‑driven design principles and patterns.
• Delivering software solutions in financial services, particularly trading/investments or wealth.
• Delivering large‑scale data migrations (500k+ customers).
• Enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
