The Role We're seeking a Workday Implementation Consultant to join the team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role is critical in ensuring smooth, accurate, and compliant payroll operations during a period of transition. You will play a key part in supporting process improvements and aligning payroll practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Deliver a complete, accurate, and timely payroll service to the business. Support payroll through system transition and organizational alignment, contributing to project and change initiatives. Partner with site teams to gather insights, identify challenges, and implement solutions that streamline and automate processes. Develop clear process documentation in collaboration with payroll and business analysis teams. Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) alongside the BAU payroll team.

Provide training to payroll staff on updated processes and new ways of working. Support testing phases and parallel payroll runs to ensure successful implementation. Skills & Experience Recognized payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent) or substantial relevant experience. In-depth knowledge of UK payroll and pension legislation, with a strong focus on compliance and governance. Excellent problem-solving skills and organizational awareness. Strong communication abilities to build effective, collaborative relationships.

Advanced IT and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Previous experience in payroll transition projects and system migrations. Familiarity with Workday Payroll and payroll project management. Proven track record in payroll reconciliations.
