Senior Dev Ops Engineer
Salary : up to £65,000
Based :
Leeds - hybrid
My client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join their team within a leading banking organization. This role will play a key part in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, supporting mission-critical banking platforms.
You will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to enable continuous delivery while ensuring compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI / CD pipelines on Microsoft Azure
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)
- Implement and manage CI / CD pipelines using tools such as Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, or similar
- Ensure high availability, performance, monitoring, and disaster recovery for production systems
- Collaborate with development teams to support containerized and microservices-based applications
- Enforce security best practices, identity management, and compliance requirements in a banking environment
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Dev Ops best practices across the organization
- 7+ years of experience in Dev Ops, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, security)
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops, CI / CD pipelines, and Git-based version control
- Solid understanding of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep)
- Strong scripting skills (Power Shell, Bash, or Python)
- Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments (banking, financial services, insurance)
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400)
- Experience with security tooling, Dev Sec Ops practices, and compliance frameworks
- Exposure to microservices architecture and API management
- Experience with Agile / Dev Ops operating models
