Overview
Support Worker – Leeds Outreach | £12.21 per hour | Part-Time & Relief Hours Available (up to 30 hours per week)
Responsibilities- Support diverse individuals in the community and in their own homes to help them live more independently.
- Assist with daily living tasks (e.g. meal prep, personal care, budgeting).
- Support social activities (e.g. swimming, gym, rugby games, concerts; some may be in the evenings).
- Build life skills and confidence; promote choice, dignity, and independence.
- Risk-assess situations and support positive behaviour.
- Follow person-centred plans and tailor support to each individual’s needs, routines and aspirations.
- People with autism and/or learning disabilities
- Mental health disorders and personality disorders
- Behaviours that challenge
- Forensic backgrounds
Desirable Experience
- Understanding of mental health conditions and behaviours of concern
- Experience supporting individuals with complex or forensic needs
- Confidence working with safeguarding, grooming behaviours, or MAPPA cases
- MAPPA training
- Anthony Bainbridge training (or similar)
A variety of day and evening shifts available (including weekends). Typical shift times between 8:00am and 9:30pm (some flexibility may be required). Lone working and shift work involved. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
