Wehave an exciting opportunity to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic
Physiotherapist to work in our Neurosciences Physiotherapy Service at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as a Rotational Band 6. The post sitswithin a large neurosciences physiotherapy team as part of a rotation thatcovers all aspects of a patient with Neurological impairments journey. Therotations include hyperacute/acute stroke rehab, stroke rehab, neurooutpatients, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, neurology and complex rehabilitationwith each area led by an experienced band 7.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate post graduate experience and clinical knowledge of the assessment and management of a variety of patients.
They will be required to demonstrate an ability to work both as an autonomous practitioner, and as part of multidisciplinary teams for the best outcomes for our patients. Good communication skill is essential both with patient sand our colleagues and respectful behaviours to all.
Themain duties of this role are the assessment and treatment of a wide varietyof neurologically impaired patients in a variety of environments including critical care, wards and outpatient department. You will carry your own caseload and be expected to time manage this alongside other commitments youmay have. You will work closely with the Band 7 team leads to clinicallymanage more complex conditions depending on your level of experience and attimes lead the service in their absence.
Training and development are a crucial part of this role, particularly supportingnewly qualified and unregistered staff to have regular educational support and also other members of the MDT where applicable. Alongside this there willbe opportunities to be involved in aspects of clinical audit, quality improvement, quality governance and research.

Qualifications
Degree or equivalent
Attendance on relevant postgraduate courses
Experience
At least 18 months experience working as a physiotherapist
Working with a wide range of professionals including medical, nursing and therapy colleagues
Skills
Ability to communicate effectivelyverbally and in writing
Ability to prioritise, organise and allocate workload
Knowledge
Insight into clinical specialtye.g. thorough academic study at post graduate level or equivalent
