Senior Social Worker AMHP Enhanced Team Pontefract UK Rates To Be Confirmed per Hour Three-Month Contract

Wakefield Council is thrilled to invite you to join our dynamic team in Pontefract as a Senior Social Worker or Senior Social Worker with Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) certification. Based at Baghill House within our Enhanced Team East, this position offers a fantastic chance to contribute to transformational changes in social work and secondary mental health services. This full-time locum role will allow you to demonstrate your expertise over an initial three-month period, with opportunities for extension.

What you will do:

• Work within an integrated team alongside South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust to support adults aged 18-65.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and create person-centred care plans underpinned by the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983.
• Implement planned interventions and engage in strength-based reviews to ensure individuals receive tailored support.
• Promote independence and empower individuals to make informed decisions about their care and support needs.
• Utilize your post-qualification training and expertise to enhance wellbeing and improve outcomes for those with mental health conditions.
