Applicants should have experience of working in a professional purchasing environment with good time management skills to adapt to changing priorities in afast-paced environment.

Asa key member of the Pharmacy Procurement Team you will play an essential rolein ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective procurement of medicine sand pharmaceutical products for Leeds Teaching Hospitals
Main duties of the jobWhat Youll be Doing
Working as part of a team responsible for ordering medicines and pharmaceutical supplies in line with Trust procedures and SOPs
Monitoring stock levels to ensure continuity of supply across all clinical areas
Managing outstanding orders. Liaising with suppliers and wholesalers toresolve supply issues. Sourcing alternatives where needed.
Supporting the Pharmacy team withstock management and shortages.
Providing excellent customer service to clinical and non-clinical colleagues.

Jobresponsibilities
Towork as part of a specialised procurement team responsible for the purchasing of pharmaceutical products and maintaining efficient and accurate stock levels at Leeds Pharmaceutical Store.
Providing purchasing advice and guidance to other teams involved inorder and supply of medicines.
Weare looking for a candidate who can demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who possess analytical and problem solving skills
The successful candidate will already have experience of working in aprofessional purchasing environment and will be able to work independently oras part of a team. Ideally we will belooking for someone with purchasing qualifications or someone who is willingto study with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
Person Specification Qualifications- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Training in a purchasing environment
- NVQ level 3 or Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) Level 3 attained or prepared to study towards
- Knowledge of basic purchasing principles, contract law and knowledge of procurement systems and processes
- Experience of working in a professional purchasing environment
- Ability to cope with unpredictable workloads and non-routine activities
