Job Summary
Business Services Co‑ordinator role at NHS Practice, supporting coordination & delivery of key business services within deadlines set by Practice Partners, PCN, ICB and NHS England. Main areas include HR, Facilities Management, Finance and Information Systems & Technology.
MainDuties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the HR function – managing leave, absence, recruitment, onboarding, workforce reporting, HR process controls and updates.
- Coordinate and support the facilities function – delivering effective building management and maintenance with third‑party suppliers while meeting health & safety standards.
- Coordinate and support the finance function – delivering cost management and all financial information required by accountants, ICB and NHS England.
- Coordinate and maintain technology and information systems – developing new systems and supporting new projects.
- Provide regular reports and audits to support business services processes (leave, training, appraisals, risk assurance, CQC reporting, etc.).
- Assist the Practice Manager in delivering key business services activities and projects, ensuring colleagues have the support and tools to deliver quality patient care.
- GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Excellent planning, organising and prioritising skills to meet business deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail and accuracy; ability to collate, interpret and simplify data for managers.
- Influence and build relationships at all levels with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a changing business environment.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Proactive, can‑do attitude even when solutions are not obvious.
- HR administration/coordination experience.
- Facilities/building management experience.
- Understanding of health & safety/risk management.
£26,598 to £27,651 a year, depending on experience.
Contract:
Permanent.
Working pattern:
Full‑time or Part‑time.
