About the role:
an opportunity to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Leeds, a busy category B prison located in Leeds Centre. No previous experience is necessary, and we will support you with training and development opportunities. This environment is challenging and rewarding, with varied duties day to day.
This is a full-time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week / 10 shifts per 2 weeks. The team works on a 2-week rota with alternate weekends. Typical shifts include one long shift per 2 weeks (7am – 9pm); weekend shifts (8am – 4pm); and other shifts Monday to Friday (7am – 4pm or 11am – 9pm).
Salary£24,667 per annum.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing- Support the onsite Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Manager, as well as the wider healthcare team
- Work from the medication rooms on the wings
- Second check medication before dispensing to patients on medication rounds
- Contribute to services such as medicine reconciliation, stock management and transportation of medicines
- Provide support to ensure a safe and secure medicines management service, following policies and standard operating procedures
- Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals

- No experience is necessary; keen interest in Pharmacy and pursuing a career in Pharmacy and Healthcare within a prison
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing would be a bonus but is not essential
- Medicines handling experience is preferred but not essential
- Proactive approach with excellent communication skills
