About the RoleWe Support a Diverse Range Of Individuals In The Community And In Their Own Homes – Each With Their Own Unique Needs And Goals. You Will Generally Spend Your Shift In One Place And Help People Live More Independently By Supporting With
- Daily living tasks (e.g. meal prep, personal care, budgeting)
- Social activities (e.g. swimming, gym, rugby games, concerts – sometimes during evenings)
- Building life skills and confidence
- Promoting choice, dignity, and independence
- Risk‑assessing situations and supporting positive behaviour
This is a person‑centred role, where you'll be empowered to tailor your support to each individual's needs, routines and aspirations.
Who We SupportPeople With a Variety Of Needs Including
- Autism & learning disabilities
- Mental health disorders & personality disorders
- Behaviours that challenge
- Forensic backgrounds
You’ll need to follow clear, structured support plans and work confidently both independently and as part of a team.
What We're Looking ForDesirable Experience
- Understanding of mental health conditions and behaviours of concern
- Experience supporting individuals with complex or forensic needs
- Confidence working with safeguarding, grooming behaviours, or MAPPA cases
- MAPPA training
- Anthony Bainbridge training (or similar)
- Part‑time & Relief Hours Available (up to 30 hours per week)
- A variety of day and evening shifts available (including weekends)
- Typical shift times between 8:00am and 9:30pm (some flexibility may be required)
- Lone working and shift work involved
- An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
