We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Leeds. This role is perfect for a professional who is dedicated to improving the communication and swallowing abilities of adults with acquired conditions. The successful candidate will work within the community, providing essential services either in patients’ homes or community clinics, and will be a key member of our Speech and Swallowing Team.

Responsibilities:
As an Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of adults with acquired conditions, including dysphagia. You will conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy to improve speech, language, and swallowing functions. Your role will involve working closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

You will also be required to travel within the community, either by car or public transport, to deliver face-to-face services.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience working with acquired conditions in an adult SLT caseload
  • Ability to manage a dysphagia caseload
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Car driver desirable, but not essential if able to travel by public transport
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
