Interim Financial Accountant

Interim Senior Financial Accountant – London Insurance This role sits within a high performing finance function and will focus on financial reporting and control within an insurance or banking environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS (including IFRS 17) Ownership of general ledger integrity, reconciliations and balance sheet review Supporting month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes Leading or supporting audit preparation, working closely with external auditors Supporting technical accounting matters, including revenue and insurance accounting treatments Managing or supporting VAT and tax‑related accounting entries where required Working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Compliance and Operations Driving continuous improvement across reporting processes, controls and documentation What you’ll need to succeed Must have experience in Insurance or Banking (industry background essential) Strong technical reporting knowledge under IFRS – IFRS 17 experience is mandatory.
