THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

Our Yorkshire & North East Corporate Clients team is seeking a Relationship Director to manage and expand an established portfolio of Mid‑Corporate clients. Many of these clients have Private Equity investment and present complex, multifaceted requirements.

You will play a pivotal role in:

  • Leading a portfolio of corporate clients, driving growth through acquisition, relationship management, and retention aligned to Global Bank’s strategic goals.
  • Developing tailored funding and lending solutions that meet client needs, collaborating with Credit Risk, Portfolio Management, Treasury, and other internal partners.
  • Acting as a trusted adviser, fostering strong, long‑term relationships with clients and introducers while enhancing our presence in the regional marketplace.
  • Managing risk effectively, ensuring adherence to credit policies, regulatory requirements, and financial crime standards while maintaining portfolio quality.
  • Proactively identifying new business opportunities to support sustainable revenue growth and profitability targets.
  • Providing coaching and performance support to Relationship Managers, promoting collaboration and capability development.
  • Championing digital adoption through platforms such as Salesforce and nCino to streamline onboarding, maintain data quality, and optimise client experience.
  • Upholding and promoting Global Bank’s values, contributing to a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer focus.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We value individuals who bring insight, capability, and a willingness to grow. To succeed in this role, you will need:

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  • Proven experience managing corporate or commercial banking relationships with a strong track record in client acquisition, development, and retention.
  • Strong relationship management ability with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience structuring, negotiating, and delivering complex lending or funding solutions.
  • Solid understanding of corporate banking products, credit risk management, and financial analysis gained within a major UK or international bank.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and support colleagues, contributing to a positive and high‑performance team environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, regulatory awareness, and continuous learning.
