Interim Management Accountant

Management/Reporting Accountant role in East Leeds, £50-60k level, 3 days on site.
We're recruiting an experienced Interim Management Accountant / Reporting Accountant to support a period of systems optimisation and improved financial  this hands on role, you'll help deliver accurate, meaningful monthly management accounts with clear commentary, while driving efficiencies across new finance system processes, workflows, and controls. You'll work closely with the Finance Business Partner, Financial Controller and Budget Holders to uplift capability, streamline reconciliations and journals, and improve reporting accuracy across the business.
Key Focus Areas:

• Support embedding and optimisation of a newly implemented finance system
• Redesign and automate inefficient month end processes
• Deliver high quality management accounts, insight, variance analysis and commentary
• Strengthen P&L ownership, budgeting and forecasting with Budget Holders
• Improve reconciliations, journals, P2P processes and income accuracy
• Coach junior team members and enhance "right first time" delivery
• Assist with VAT (UK & Ireland), balance sheet recs, audit and year end tasks

• Qualified or Part Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Strong Excel and finance systems capability
• Continuous improvement mindset with a proactive, problem solving approach
• Confident communicator able to partner with non finance colleagues
