This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and well-established business in a Finance Assistant role with genuine long-term potential.

Working as part of a friendly and supportive finance team, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day Accounts Payable process while building a strong foundation in transactional finance. This is more than a routine purchase ledger position.

• Take ownership of key Accounts Payable activities
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
• Develop your technical capability within a structured finance environment

• Processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate purchase ledger records
• Monitoring the AP inbox and responding to supplier queries
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
• Assisting with the preparation of supplier payment runs
• Supporting bank and ledger reconciliations
• Maintaining strong audit trails and financial controls
• Providing support to the wider finance team where required
• Contributing to process improvements as the function develops

• Has around 6-12 months’ experience in transactional finance (AP, AR or similar)
• Demonstrates a positive, proactive and 'get up and go' attitude
• Is ambitious and motivated to build a long-term career in finance
• Shows strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Is organised and able to manage priorities effectively
• Has good Excel and finance system skills
• Communicates confidently with colleagues and suppliers
• Brings a team-focused and can-do approach

Candidates studying (or planning to study) AAT would be well aligned, though this is not essential.
