As an Audit Manager within Group Internal Audit (GIA), you'll play a key role in helping the Group achieve its objectives through insightful, risk-based assurance. You'll deliver meaningful audits that don't just identify risk, they drive smarter decisions, stronger controls and better outcomes for our customers, and have visibility right up to board level.

- Develop a strong understanding of the Aldermore business, strategy, and risk landscape to inform the annual audit plan, including coverage of new and emerging risks.
- Lead and deliver financial, conduct, and operational audits in line with GIA methodology and IIA standards, ensuring timely, high-quality execution within budget.
- Produce clear, impactful reports that identify root causes and support the business in implementing practical, sustainable improvements to the control environment.
- Oversee issue validation and drive timely, effective resolution of audit findings to ensure controls are embedded and operating effectively.
- Present key findings to senior stakeholders, highlighting significant risks, control weaknesses, and emerging themes while building strong, trusted relationships across the business.
- Support the wider Internal Audit function by contributing to advisory projects, promoting a professional and independent culture, and coaching junior colleagues.
- Expert in internal audit methodologies, with strong data analytics skills.
- Solid grasp of UK regulation and PRA/FCA priorities, including conduct risk, operational resilience, third-party risk, and consumer duty.
- Understanding of IT general controls and technology risks (IT audit experience desirable but not essential).
- Proactive, self-starter who works independently and drives results.
- Strong analytical, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification audit experience in financial services/banking (internal or external) with a relevant qualification (ACA/ACCA/IIA).
- Experience in prudential or conduct audits, assessing controls, compliance, and customer outcomes.
- A hybrid working policy, 2 days per week onsite in any of our offices.
- The role is flexible and can be based at any of our offices in Cardiff, Manchester, London, or Reading.
