You'll join during a pivotal phase as the company modernises its finance operations, implements a new ERP system, and strengthens group-wide reporting and analysis. For an ambitious finance professional, it's the perfect moment to make your mark.The OpportunityAs Senior Management Accountant, you'll be a key strategic partner within the finance team. You will oversee two subsidiaries, lead monthly reporting, enhance controls, and drive high-quality financial insight for business leaders.
You'll also play a central role in the transition to SAP Business One, shaping new reporting capability and driving data-led decision making.
This role is deliberately positioned as a fast-track route to Finance Director for the right candidate.What You'll Be Doing
- Lead financial oversight for two subsidiary companies
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts with meaningful commentary
- Manage VAT returns and ensure full compliance with legislation
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Take a lead role in year-end audit activities, working closely with external auditors
- Support tax compliance alongside external advisors
- Manage the accounts payable process for your subsidiaries
- Oversee costing processes to support pricing and profitability decisions
- Support systems migration to SAP Business One, including designing reporting and analytics
- Contribute to projects, ONS submissions, P11
Ds, and other ad-hoc work
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with ideally up to 2 years' post-qualification experience
- Strong background in manufacturing and/or multi-entity environments
- Demonstrated experience in management accounts, VAT, reconciliations, AP and costings
- Confident supporting audits and tax compliance
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP B1 desirable)
- Analytical, organised, proactive and collaborative
- Someone who wants to grow and who sees a route to Finance Director as a realistic future
