Position: UK Finance Manager
Seeking an impactful finance manager with manufacturing experience.

Hays Senior Finance are proud to partner exclusively with a growing SME manufacturing business to recruit a UK Finance Manager for their Leeds site.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a thriving organisation experiencing sustained growth. You'll play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and supporting scale-up, with finance at the heart of day-to-day decision-making.
About the RoleThis is a hands-on position where you'll take full ownership of UK finance operations, working closely with production and quality teams and collaborating with global finance colleagues across the US and Europe. Your remit will include robust reporting, control, compliance, and process improvement. Supported by a small transactional team, you'll be the go-to person for:

Month-end close and management accounts

Cost accounting and margin analysis

Payroll and statutory reporting

Key Responsibilities

Lead UK finance operations: payroll, management accounts, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, cash management and controls

Drive cost accounting and margin analysis to support pricing, inventory, and production decisions

Deliver insightful management reporting to site leadership and global stakeholders

Manage statutory reporting and audit coordination with external advisors

Ensure compliance with US GAAP and UK statutory requirements, leveraging ERP/MRP tools and strengthening processes

What You'll Bring

Extensive UK experience and the right to work in the UK without expiry or sponsorship

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)

Previous experience in a senior finance role within UK manufacturing or other regulated environments

Expertise in cost accounting, margin analysis, and operational efficiency

Confidence managing payroll, month-end, and management accounts

Strong reporting and stakeholder communication skills

Knowledge of US GAAP and UK statutory frameworks; experience with audits, tax and working with external advisors

Strong technical knowledge and ability to apply accounting standards in practice

A proactive, hands-on approach
