You will lead activities within Group Risk oversight across the entire end-to-end Credit Risk lifecycle, providing independent challenge to first‑line solutions and ensuring that credit risk remains within appetite. You will also provide the Head of Credit Risk Oversight, CRO & committees/work‑groups with insights on 1st Line activity, change proposals, portfolio and emerging risks. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Society to deliver their Purpose.

• Relevant experience in financial services, preferably mortgages
• Detailed knowledge of the Credit Risk life cycle
• Detailed knowledge of mortgage products and servicing
• Ability to work on project‑type activities
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to draw insight from data
• Broad knowledge of the services industry
• Good understanding of applicable regulations within the mortgage market
• Independent, able to challenge constructively and professionally at management level
• Professional qualification or experience in Credit Risk Management
