Group Finance Manager - North Hybrid

I am delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a newly created Group Finance Manager position working for a high growth, forward thinking private equity backed Tech SME in Leeds!

The business have grown significantly over the last 3 years, and as a result of their most recent growth trajectory, and further plans over the next 18 months, they are now looking to bring in an experienced Group Finance Manager into a newly created role to work closely with the Head of Finance.

The role will be responsible for ensuring the compliance, integrity, and effectiveness of the Group Finance function acting as a key partner in the Finance function. You will have ownership of the end-to-end group reporting process and forms the bridge between operational accounting and strategic financial management and business partnering, enabling informed decision-making, investor confidence, and regulatory compliance across the group.

The role would be ideally suited to someone ACA/ACCA qualified in practice, looking for their 2nd or 3rd move in industry with a growing PE backed SME The key duties of this role will include:
Own the monthly and annual group financial close and consolidation process over local and overseas group entities, ensuring the timely and accurate production of group management information. Own the integrity and accuracy of Group’s balance sheet reconciliations and ancillary reporting controls. Ensure compliance with both Group’s financial accounting and internal control policies and applicable accounting standards. Support the preparation of financial reporting to investors, lenders, and other third parties.

Responsible as the primary operational contact for external auditors and tax advisors Manage and oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements Manage and oversee the preparation of Corporation Tax returns, VAT and sales tax returns Prepare and maintain group cashflow forecasts. Provide analysis and reporting to support liquidity management, funding requirements, and other treasury-related decision making. Lead, line manage, and support the development of a small Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows, improve data quality, and reduce reporting risks.

Support system improvements, automation initiatives, and finance transformation projects. The successful candidate will:
Be fully qualified ACA/ACCA – Essential Have experience of group consolidation preferably across multiple currencies - Essential Have knowledge of and the ability to practically apply recent and upcoming relevant FRS standards - Essential Have a good working knowledge of MS excel - Essential What's on offer?
