OverviewOur client is a leading international professional services organisation seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Finance Accountant to join their Group Finance team. This role plays a critical part in supporting regional leadership teams, driving commercial insight, and influencing strategic decision-making across multiple business units.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, the successful candidate will help shape financial performance, support growth initiatives, and deliver high-quality commercial analysis within a complex, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Act as a strategic finance partner to senior leaders, providing commercial insight and influencing key business decisions.
- Build strong relationships across business units and support functions to drive financial performance.
- Lead and deliver commercial finance projects, including client profitability reviews, pricing initiatives, and finance process improvements.
- Produce clear, insightful financial analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage key financial metrics, including billing, work in progress (WIP), and working capital.
- Support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, internal policies, and financial governance standards.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a commercial finance role, ideally within professional services or a complex matrix organisation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly and persuasively.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with confidence working with senior leadership.
- Commercially astute, influential, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Service-oriented and collaborative in approach.
- Confident challenging and influencing decision-makers.
