We're supporting a business at a genuinely exciting stage of its journey, defined by change, growth, and increasing complexity
, both organically and through acquisition. As a result, they're looking to appoint a technically strong, commercially aware Finance Manager into a central role with a clear focus on reporting, consolidation, and financial rigour, as well as getting a birds‑eye view of the whole business.
If you've built a solid technical accounting foundation, enjoy working close to senior stakeholders, and want to play a meaningful role in shaping how a growing group reports, controls, and communicates its numbers, this could be a very compelling next step.
You'll operate as a key figure within a finance centre of excellence
, working closely with the Head of Finance and acting as a trusted conduit of high‑quality financial information to the wider leadership team and CFO. This is not a back‑office reporting role; it's a visible and influential position that is key to steering decisions. Alongside core reporting and consolidation responsibilities, you'll gain exposure to projects, systems development, and M&A activity
, while leading and developing a team.
- Deliver accurate, insightful monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting, including consolidation.
- Act as right‑hand support to the Head of Finance, owning key information flows to Board and wider business.
- Lead financial meetings and bridge the gap between finance and operational stakeholders.
- Drive financial accounting standards, controls and forecasting discipline across the group.
- Produce and present high‑level financial reports and performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Manage, mentor and develop members of the reporting team.
- Support change initiatives and projects aligned to the group's growth agenda.
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with typically 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience.
- A strong grounding in technical accounting, reporting and consolidation, ideally from a complex environment.
- Comfortable operating in a business that is evolving, acquisitive and change‑hungry.
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and presenting financial information clearly and credibly.
- Highly analytical, detail‑driven and commercially curious.
- Ideally, advanced Excel skills would be advantageous.
This is a rare opportunity to join a high‑performing Yorkshire‑based business on a trajectory that offers both challenge and progression. You'll be empowered to influence, lead and deliver tangible value, while developing the breadth and depth of experience that opens doors long‑term.
