We are a national Banking Practice Group with an enviable list of clients and transactions. We regularly advise high‑profile clients, including UK and global financial institutions, private equity houses, funds and corporates on complex domestic and cross‑border transactions, leveraging our strong domestic and international network of specialists.

The breadth and quality of work that we undertake sets us apart from many competitors. On the majority of transactions, we act opposite Magic Circle and large U.S. firms. Partners and associates have joined our team from Magic Circle, U.S. and other high‑quality finance practices, and work alongside those who have been with the firm early in its history.

Our national Banking Practice Group covers corporate / leverage finance, real‑estate finance and debt capital markets.

Corporate and Leverage Finance – we represent private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers, and lenders, advising on leveraged situations, M&A, corporate finance, refinancing, asset‑based lending, group re‑organisations, and debt capital market work. We collaborate closely with our Corporate, Tax, Restructuring and Private Equity teams, and have strong relationships with debt and corporate finance advisers.

Real‑Estate Finance – we are a leading real‑estate finance practice, acting for major domestic and international banks, alternative lenders and corporate borrowers on major bilateral, syndicated, structured transactions and product development. We work closely with Real‑Estate, Construction, Corporate, Tax and international teams.

Project and Infrastructure Finance – we advise international sponsors, developers and banks on UK and international transactions across transport and social infrastructure, renewables, and emerging assets such as battery storage and electric vehicles. Our work covers the entire project lifecycle: bid submission, construction, operation, hand‑back, and repowering.

We have opportunities for associates (1‑4 years PQE) to join our national Banking Practice Group in Leeds to support a broad range of banking transactions across Corporate/Leverage, Real‑Estate Finance. The role will involve working on a wide range of finance matters; given the breadth of our practice, the candidate should have the ability and desire to tackle a diverse portfolio of work.

Team members at all levels are expected to engage in business‑development activities, including organising and attending larger set‑piece marketing events, as well as ad‑hoc/opportunistic meetings.
