“Are you ready to join a team of wastewater modellers and shape the future of the Water Industry?”

Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Wastewater Modeller. You can be based in one of our UK or Ireland offices whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model.

You will be a key player in delivering impactful water projects across the UK and internationally. We enable the development of significant flood alleviation schemes, pollution reduction, and infrastructure projects, and this variety will be fundamental to yourcontinuous professional growth. A unique aspect of our approach is that our modelling team isfully integratedwith the wider project teams, ensuring that our modellers work closely alongside experts in other areas to develop comprehensive solutions.

As anindustry leaderin Blue-Green infrastructure and nature-based solutions, we work with both public and private sector clients such as Severn Trent, Anglian Water, Northern Ireland Water, the Environment Agency, LLFAs and other infrastructure providers. We deliver Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, Outline Business Cases, hydraulic models, and detailed designs.We shape industry standardsby advising and developing guidance that benchmarks best practices, keeping AECOMat the forefrontof the water industry.

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to support a talented, diverse team committed to innovation, collaboration, and efficiency.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Develop, calibrate and verify wastewater network models using industry-standard software (e.g., Info Works ICM).
  • Carry out technical and administrative tasks of limited to moderate complexity related to hydrology and groundwater investigations that inform wastewater modelling studies.
  • Support assignments that may span the wider field of hydrology and related technical disciplines, working to defined project scopes with regular professional review.
  • Analyse modelling outputs and environmental data, preparing technical reports and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor and interpret data to assess the impacts of upstream activities on wastewater systems and confirm compliance with relevant permits and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners and environmental specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of modelling processes and technical standards.
