Quantity Surveyor – Decarbonisation Projects
Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to work on projects that genuinely make a difference?
At Dalkia UK, we deliver innovative decarbonisation and energy transition projects that support our clients on their journey to net zero. We’re looking for a QS to join one of our regional delivery teams, working across the Midlands and North.
Reporting to a Regional Commercial Manager, you’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive commercial team where your expertise and input are truly valued.
The roleYou’ll take ownership of the commercial, financial and contractual performance of your projects, including:
- Managing and controlling the commercial and contractual elements of projects
- Producing accurate commercial reports, forecasts and cost/value reconciliations
- Preparing timely and accurate client valuations
- Leading subcontract procurement and preparing subcontracts in line with company standards
- Managing subcontract accounts, variations and change control
- Administering commercial obligations in line with client contracts
- Working closely with operations and design teams to identify risks and maximise opportunities
- Supporting effective change management
- Liaising with Commercial Managers and Project Directors on contractual matters
- Attending project and company meetings
- Building strong client relationships to support successful delivery and future opportunities

What we’re looking for- A collaborative team player with strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs
- A recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying (BSc, MSc, HND or equivalent)
- At least 3 years’ experience in a QS role
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and Word
- Working towards or holding professional membership (RICS, CICES or CIOB)
- Experience with in a main contracting or subcontracting environment
- Background in M&E, MEP, building refurbishment or civil engineering
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors
- Experience on projects valued between £2m–£20m
- Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts
- Experience with cost management systems such as Navision, Oracle, SAP or COINS
- Be part of a business driving the UK’s energy transition
