Your Future, Fuelled by InnovationAs a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice at our Wyke manufacturing site in Yorkshire, you will join a structured three‑four‑year development programme designed to give you the technical skills, practical experience and recognised qualifications needed for a successful career in engineering.
Working within an upper‑tier COMAH site, you will learn how to safely conduct mechanical maintenance across a wide range of plant equipment, supporting safe and efficient manufacturing operations. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll learn directly from experienced mechanical technicians and engineers while studying towards a Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship.
How You’ll Help Us Grow- Learn to carry out safe mechanical maintenance on plant and equipment.
- Shadow and support mechanical technicians and engineers in both planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Gain experience across different areas of engineering and maintenance to build a broad understanding of site operations.
- Apply best practice engineering techniques in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Support safe working practices and adhere strictly to Health & Safety standards.
- Develop technical knowledge through a combination of workplace learning and structured study (training delivered by Calderdale College.)

Wyke is an upper‑tier COMAH site, operating with chemicals that require strict adherence to Health & Safety policies. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and must be worn as required.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, permanent roles may involve working a rotating shift pattern, including days, nights, and weekends.
