Working across six key sectors, our water scientists and engineers take a practical, tailored approach to every client’s water management challenge. Following an exciting year of growth across both our team and office locations, including establishing a presence in Bristol, we are seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join us across any of our five office locations:
Bristol, Shrewsbury, Derby, Richmond, and Stirling.
The Role Involves
- Conduct hydrogeological investigations, including aquifer testing, borehole installation, and groundwater sampling.
- Analyse and interpret hydrogeological data, including water levels, water quality, and hydraulic conductivity data.
- Conduct numerical modelling to support conceptual site models and risk assessments.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and other documents for clients and regulators.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulators.
- Collaborate with principal staff members on project management and technical guidance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
- Postgraduate degree level qualification in hydrogeology, engineering geology, catchment management, hydrology, geomorphology or similar.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Practical and technical experience within consultancy or other relevant industries.
- Experience of UK water resources and permitting legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to a non‑technical audience.
- Team and project management skills commensurate with your grade and experience.
- A valid full UK driving licence.
- A positive, self‑starting, and flexible attitude with a real interest in learning and growth.
- A desire to get stuck in and apply expertise in a pragmatic way.
- A passion for building great relationships with colleagues and clients alike.
- Competitive salary of £38,000+, depending on experience
- Permanent, full‑time contract (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
