A well-established ground investigation and geotechnical consultancy in Leeds is looking to appoint an Engineering Geologist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist contractor delivering high-quality site investigations across residential, commercial and infrastructure projects throughout Yorkshire and the wider UK.

You will gain hands‑on experience across the full project lifecycle, working closely with experienced geotechnical engineers and project managers in a supportive and technically strong environment.

• Supervising and logging site investigations (trial pits, boreholes, window sampling)
• Soil and rock logging to BS5930 standards
• Overseeing drilling contractors and on‑site health & safety
• Collecting soil and groundwater samples for geotechnical and geoenvironmental testing
• Factual and interpretative report writing
• Assisting with foundation recommendations and geotechnical assessments

• Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology or related discipline
• 1-4 years' relevant ground investigation experience
• Strong logging and report writing skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ambition to progress technically within geotechnical engineering
