Position: Senior / Principal Urban Drainage Modeller

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior or Principal Urban Drainage Modeller to support a strong pipeline of urban drainage and wastewater projects on a contract basis. This role will focus on technical delivery while also providing leadership and mentoring to junior members of the modelling team.

This position offers exposure to complex, high-profile modelling programmes across both public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical delivery of urban drainage and wastewater modelling projects
  • Manage project tasks in line with agreed scope, programme and budget
  • Build and verify integrated catchment models
  • Engage with client technical teams and key stakeholders
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior modellers
  • Support quality assurance and control processes
  • Contribute to the development of improved modelling processes and tools
What Our Client is Looking For:
  • Strong experience in urban drainage and wastewater modelling
  • Proven experience using Info Works ICM
  • Experience in integrated catchment model build and verification
  • Proficiency in GIS software (e.g. ArcGIS or Map Info)
  • Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced team members
  • Experience acting as technical lead on modelling projects
  • Commercial and programme awareness within project delivery
  • Chartered or near-chartered status (ICE, CIWEM or similar) is advantageous
