We have an opportunity for an Assistant Planner with previous relevant industry experience to join our Leeds team. Our teams specialise in a wide range of projects including large scale mixed-use regeneration, infrastructure, residential, industrial & logistics and commercial developments.

You will be working alongside experienced planning professionals assisting on a cross-section of planning applications, appeals and pre-application enquiries, as well as local plan representations. • Supporting the team in the delivery of a variety of planning projects including assisting with all aspects of advice, planning applications and appeals
• Researching and analysing planning policy and decisions, preparing representations to emerging policy and local plans.
• Drafting reports, advice notes, planning statements and pre-application letters
• Submitting applications on the planning portal and monitoring applications via Public Access.
• Attending meetings liaising with the Local Planning Authority, stakeholders and client’s as required.

• Degree or higher in relevant subject, making you eligible for RTPI membership.
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written skills.
• Positive, hard-working attitude.
• Enjoys responsibility and integrating/collaborating with others.
• Understanding of the UK planning system.
• Relevant work experience, ideally gained in a consultancy environment.
