Installation and Commissioning Engineer (Contract) £45 £ 50 per hour | Outside IR35 (TBC) | International Travel (75%) Industry: Food Production / Automated Machinery Contract Length: 36 months initial (likely extension) Travel: (Europe / Middle East / Africa / Asia-Pacific) Start: ASAP / Immediate H-Seventeen are recruiting on behalf of a global leader in food processing and automated production machinery.

Due to increased project demand and international installations, they require an experienced Installation and Commissioning Engineer on a contract basis to support customer site projects across multiple regions. This is a hands-on delivery role, ideal for an engineer who can confidently install, commission, fault-find and get automated equipment running efficiently under tight deadlines. Contract Scope / Key Deliverables As the Installation and Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Installing and commissioning automated food production machinery at customer sites worldwide Completing electrical and mechanical installation, setup, calibration and performance testing Troubleshooting electrical, PLC and automation faults during installation and start-up Supporting SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), ramp-up, and handover to production teams Producing clear commissioning documentation, site reports and progress updates Working closely with project teams, OEM support, and customer engineering teams Providing a high standard of customer-facing support and representing the business professionally onsite Required Experience To be considered, you should have:
Proven track record in installation and commissioning of food production / processing equipment (or similar automated machinery) Strong electrical ability: fault finding, wiring, testing, diagnostics Solid PLC/controls understanding (supporting commissioning and troubleshooting) Strong mechanical competence: assembly, alignment, automation / production line integration Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics Engineering qualification (NVQ / ONC / HNC or equivalent) Full UK driving licence Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods (3 days 4 weeks per trip) Whats on Offer £45 £ 50 per hour (depending on experience, region and scope) International travel and expenses covered Long-term contract pipeline with a growing global engineering business Immediate opportunity to join active site installations and commissioning schedules Interested?
