Quantity Surveyor (Civil Engineering)

We are working with our client, a well‑established regional civil engineering contractor, who is looking to appoint an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to support their growing Leeds operation. This role is suited to a Quantity Surveyor with 5–10 years’ experience who is keen to take ownership of projects and continue developing within a supportive, commercially strong environment; /p>Responsibilities

• Commercial management of live civil engineering and infrastructure projects consult
• Preparation of valuations and applications for payment
• Cost forecasting, CVRs and financial reporting
• Management of variations and change control
• Subcontractor procurement and commercial account management
• Liaison with clients, site teams and internal commercial stakeholders
• Supporting the identification of cost savings and value engineering opportunities
• Assisting with commercial handovers and project close‑out

• 5–10 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within civil engineering, highways or infrastructure
• Experience working for a Tier 2 or Tier 3 contractor preferred
• Good working knowledge of NEC contracts, with JCT exposure beneficial
• Strong understanding of cost control, valuations and subcontract management
• Ability to manage projects or packages with a good level of autonomy
• A proactive, delivery‑focused approach with strong communication skills

• Salary between £50,000 and £60,000 depending on experience
