Overhead Line Engineer

Design overhead power line systems, including the selection of structures, conductors, and insulators.

• Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation using AutoCAD and PLS-CADD.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather design data.
• Perform technical calculations and analysis to ensure structural integrity and electrical performance.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Support project teams by integrating design requirements into project plans.
• Review and approve design changes and provide technical support during construction.
• Carry out design reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Stay up to date with advancements in overhead line design
  
  Structure and related technologies.

You will be a motivated and technically strong engineer with a passion for overhead line design and delivery.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline (preferably Electrical or Power Engineering).
• Proven experience in overhead line engineering up to kV.
• Experience on upgrade projects, including the use of High Temperature Low Sag (HTLS) conductors.
• Willingness and ability to travel as project requirements dictate.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and/or PLS-TOWER.
• Knowledge of galloping studies.
