Hydraulic Modeller - Water Networks - Remote
Working for a Utilities consultancy delivering a Water Network programme improving flow, velocity and reducing leakage.
Location:
Remote 5 days a week
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 basic
RoleAs a Hydraulic Modeller, you will be working on a transformation programme within Water Networks, working alongside the water provider to identify issues, seek improvements and support the team in signing off the correct solution. You will assist the leakage management teams by providing hydraulic analysis that identifies areas vulnerable to leakage or other network inefficiencies, building and calibrating detailed hydraulic models of water distribution networks to simulate water flow, pressure and network performance under various operational conditions.
Playing a vital role in the clean water team, you will use your technical knowledge of water networks to support designing and delivering solutions. The solutions will vary, but all are based on reducing leakage across the network.
Key areas of focus- Water Flow
- Pressure
- Velocity
- Transient Analysis
- Modelling Reports
- Analyse data on water flow, pressure and quality.
- Identify and report problems with the network, such as leaks, pressure imbalances and water quality issues.
- Identify areas of the water network that are at risk of leakage or failure.
- Familiarity with leakage detection technologies and DMA management.
- Develop and implement plans to reduce leakage and improve the reliability of the water network.
- Work with the programme lead to develop the Busqueda? correcte solution, including supporting the design team in designing it.
- Look at various methods of analysing and optimising water distribution networks, bringing new ideas and technology to the team that could automate or improve current processes.
