As a Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant at Arup, you will have the chance to lead and contribute to projects that genuinely make a real difference. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of our projects, ensuring they are not only successful but also sustainable. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple sectors, but with a particular focus on the transport sector, working on and leading projects across all modes of transport, with a particular focus on sustainable transport modes and integrated transport systems.

Main

Activities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and design and drive the right solutions to environmental challenges.
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of EIA reports, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and client expectations and elevating their value to identify and value enhancements as well as appropriate mitigation.
  • Build relationships with regulatory authorities, stakeholders and clients to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Provide expert advice on environmental policies, regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor and report on the implementation of environmental management plans and compliance with EIA conditions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Full membership of an appropriate institute (e.g. Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) or equivalent).
  • Professional experience in environmental consulting.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects in the transport sector.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices. Experience of the Transport and Works Act consenting regime is desirable but not essential.
