Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Field Service Engineer with a strong background in aero-based gas turbines or related turbine technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global energy business delivering innovative solutions that enhance reliability, efficiency, and performance across the power generation and oil & gas industries.
Responsibilities- Lead and execute installation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of aero-based gas turbines.
- Conduct inspections, hot section replacements, engine swaps, and troubleshooting activities.
- Provide technical direction to site teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance and quality.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and hydraulic issues on turbines and auxiliary systems.
- Oversee commissioning and performance optimisation of turbine systems.
- Manage all in-field activities in line with HSE standards and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience as a mechanical technician or field engineer working with aeroderivative, aircraft, or industrial gas turbines.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems, including bolting, flange management, and small-bore piping.
- Proven hands-on experience in turbine maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Strong awareness of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Ability to lead teams and work independently in fast-paced field environments.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel globally up to 70% of the time.
- Must hold a valid UK work authorisation or British passport.
